Foliage
sitters:
I start an new tread for models of foliage.
It is easier when I use category's.
And I like suggestions what plants you people like to have,
but remember this are full poly plants ( no transparent textures ).
so how more complicated, how more poly's.
So far we have :

Mattn:
trees like pines, fir oak and so on - that would be cool - but keep in mind, that it is better to seperate the leaves from the bole. we should be able to switch the leaves off to see soldiers below them - see http://ufoai.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/ufoai/ufoai/trunk/base/models/objects/vegi/chestnut/ as an example

Yea I do that, if the tree higher then 64 units I split the model. ;)
The banana is an small tree 64 units high, then the proportions to the bananas are OK.

sitters:
The craziest tree I ever make, with no transparent textures.
Two models, the top and the bark.

sitters:
I make an new plant, an fern.
I make it also with an transparent texture, and how it is looking in the game is depending how good the engine can deal with transparent textures.
In the zip are an transparent .png format and an 32 bit .tga texture.
Let me know how it is looking in the game, before I make more plants with transparent textures. ;)
