you can't - use the po files - the mo files are the compiled versions of the po files

i suppose you are using the 2.1 version?

grab them here: http://ufoai.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/ufoai/ufoai/branches/ufoai_2.1/src/po/

Yes, version is 2.1.
But I have small question - how can I compile that files? I can't understand it.
I want to make a russian version of translation more full (maybe, I can connect some people to this work).

Thats great...

You know you need to edit the .po file in a gettext editor like poedit (poedit.net, I believe), right?
When you click save it will be compiled automatically in poedit.

There are some pages in the wiki with more info's...

most of the texts are translated in our wiki - and then synced by us to the po files. see http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/List_of_msgid for more infos

you should also have a look at http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/Available_translations and contact etherial - he can answer all your questions. he's a russian translator, too
