New here - LOVE IT!

Let me say WOW. This is awesome. I'm really really really impressed. I cannot wait to keep getting new versions of this game. Really great job on it! :)

One question, I've only played once, but I've noticed that the maps are very small compared to the type of terrain you had to scale in x-com. Why is that? Can the engine not handle bigger?

Also, I read something about a random map generator, does that happen live while you're playing, or is this just a random map gen for aiding in creating a new map when editing?
