Game (v 2.1) will not start in Win XP (home edition)

Hi

I try to run the game (v2.1) on a Toshiba Satellite A70 (1.5 GB RAM).
If I run the normal game it will "try" to open and then will close without message
If I run in Safe or Safe Windowed mode then i get a error (no description of the error though).
The Map editor works very well though. The same with the uninstaller.

Since my system is quite "normal" it seems odd. also it is odd the lack of error messages .

Can you please help me on that?

please make sure, that you have installed the latest 3d graühic card drivers.

what is your graphic card btw.?

Hi

   My graphic card is a on board ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP.
   It does support OpenGL .

   As far as I know there are not new (last 12 month) graphic drivers for this card however I'll check it out.

I installed the latest updates for this graphic card but I have the same problem....
