Disappearing map textures(invisible black map.)

please copy everything back but not the config.cfg or other cfg files - and try again then

i think it's only a wrong cvar value

That's what I did, I only copied the save folder back, no config or console file. In other words, it worked fine without savegames, once I put savegames back, the problem returned.

Bit late to experiment now, I'm currently error free, we'll see how long that lasts(as I've had this problem twice so far.)

I've noticed it occurs when I turn on texture compression. After restore this settings to default values, I can see all textures...
