Hey Jungs, I really like your project and so I decided to take part and try to map something. But as a total noob in such programs I have several problems with this gtk radiant. First: there are no textures (shader not found) (?? PC zu alt??) second: how can i make this program look like this one you use in the films...there is just one dimension in one window...its sad...
Fragen über Fragen, aber ich halt mich mal ans Englische...
Grüße

howdy Myrrdin,

Textures not showing up. I still have trouble figuring this out, to be honest.

The alternate views from X Y And Z coordinate planes.

 Open GTK
 Click on Edit
 Click on Preferences
 Click on Interface
Select the Layout you would prefer to manipulate with.

Although you can use CTRL+TAB to change the view in a single view.

As for actual map making... its not as easy as I first thought.. to be honest. my maps look like... .. blocks with holes in them... I need alot more practice to be honest before I could make anything that LOOKS neat.

On the other hand, I can draw out what I want, in multiple X Y and Z views, even Isometric... in PEN, but as for getting it into the computer. Thats where I need help....

Respectfully,

Issue with Textures...

To resolve the problem with not being able to see the textures while using a Windows XP machine, and working with GTK Radiant, follow these steps.

 Open GTK Radiant
 Click on Edit
 Click on Preferences
 Click on Settings +Path
 er... Click on Path....
In the path window you will see this:

 C:/Program Files/UFOAI-2.0-RC6/base/

 Thats in-correct.

 Change the path to

 C:\Program Files\UFOAI-2.0-RC6

THEN the textures show up. And the lights ... etc.

That will solve your problem of why you cant find the textures in Windows while using GTK Radiant for the map editor.

Enjoy!

Respectfully,
