i'm sorry, i can't really help you with the mouse - but play with the dga settings - run configure with --disable-vid-dga e.g.

but you should maybe post your system specs of your subnotebook at:

Did not get the mouse refresh to work with RC6. It works on the same hardware with the SVN-Version on the first attempt without changing any parameters. "make maps" for SVN took about 120 hours on AMD Athlon 64 1,8 GHz.
