Description
Hello, I'm currently having problems compiling the latest version on Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit, using Gnome3 as the GUI, fully patched
The configure script dies with the following in the log
<stdin>:3:21: fatal error: SDL_ttf.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
<stdin>:3:23: fatal error: picomodel.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.

But, sdl-config --cflags shows the following
-I/usr/include/SDL -D_GNU_SOURCE=1 -D_REENTRANT
And if I look into /usr/include/SDL it shows that verything should be there
begin_code.h SDL_audio.h SDL_config.h SDL_error.h SDL.h SDL_keysym.h SDL_mixer.h SDL_name.h SDL_quit.h SDL_syswm.h SDL_ttf.h SDL_video.h
close_code.h SDL_byteorder.h SDL_cpuinfo.h SDL_events.h SDL_joystick.h SDL_loadso.h SDL_mouse.h SDL_opengl.h SDL_rwops.h SDL_thread.h SDL_types.h
SDL_active.h SDL_cdrom.h SDL_endian.h SDL_getenv.h SDL_keyboard.h SDL_main.h SDL_mutex.h SDL_platform.h SDL_stdinc.h SDL_timer.h SDL_version.h

I went through the steps in the manual to get all the dependencies and checked them in Synaptic, but the error still exists. Also, I couldn't find the picomodel libraries, are thy included somewhere in this code?

Steps to reproduce this issue
That is what I did to hit the issue
- Use Ubuntu 12.04 with Gnome3
- Download all files through git
- Check that dependencies are installed
- ./configure
- Read the log
