Description
[http://sourceforge.net/p/ufoai/bugs/347 Item 347] imported from sourceforge.net tracker on 2013-01-28 18:18:28

On return from battle, any equipment dropped on the
ground seems to end up as things that could be bought
rather than in base stores. Seems to happen every time,
so not just temporary glitch. Not implemented?

Let's say this is a feature (until not implemented). Do you
see any apect of the current behaviour that looks like a
bug? If not I'd propose to move this to Feature Request
section (but probably the suggestion is already there).

In RC5 and current SVN dropped items are included in the
"salvaged" items display after the mission (they still end
up in the market however). Although the auto-selling of
salvaged items is a bit confusing it does make playing the
game easier in the long run as it prevents clutter in the
base equipment store.

We have plans to implement a way to present items in a less
cluttered fashion which may eventually mean we can avoid the
auto-sell step altogether.

So I'm closing this report with the resolution "later"...
meaning at some point in the future we intend to revisit the
way item salvage/selling works but there are plenty of other
more pressing concerns for us at the moment (and the current
behavior isn't really a "bug" as such, just counter-intuitive).
